2019 : In order to optimize its photolithography process, CMT Rickenbach is equipped with automated DI (Direct Imaging) for the preparation of parts or plates before cutting. These new equipments allow CMT Rickenbach to make a new technological advance in order to continue to improve quality, productivity and reactivity.

2018: Obtaining EN 9100 certification to meet the growing demand of aeronautical customers.

2017: CMT Rickenbach integrates new lasers (burr-free cold cutting) of the latest generation for precision micro-cutting, engraving and surface texturing.

2016: Recast of the CMT Rickenbach SA website and logo to increase the visibility of the company and expand its markets.

2015: Development of photoelectroforming techniques for decorative applications and techniques on conductor and non-conductor substrates.

2014: CMT Rickenbach industrialized several laser technologies such as surface structuration by laser, laser sandblasting.

2013: Due to growing demand, CMT Rickenbach SA put in place a numerical semi-automatic micro folding process.

2012: New software controls the galvanics chain to optimize the process.

2010: Purchase of a welding laser gives the possibility of producing parts assembled by laser micro welding.

2009: New CN machines for beading and diamond polishing are added to the machinery, allowing high volume production.

2008: A new high-tech water treatment station is installed (using electrocoagulation), reducing water use in production by 80%.

2005: A new ferric chloride regeneration installation reduces consumption to less than 10’000 liters per year.

2004: Laser engraving is added to our other techniques, mechanical and chemical engraving, which had already been mastered at CMT Rickenbach for many years.

1996: The need for a cutting laser becomes essential, to allow the production of SMD stencils. It’s the beginning of CMT Rickenbachs mastering of laser technologies. That same year, it obtains the ISO 9001/2000 certification. 

1994: The acquisition of a laser photoplotter becomes essential, due to the increasing number of photographical tooling and film needed produced every day. The SMD stencil market is the main reason of this expansion.

1987: Damian von Rickenbach becomes the new head of the family company, which had about 20 employees at that time. It was mainly active in movement decoration and photochemical machining for the production of sputtering masks for semi-conductors and the production of daisy-wheels, used in typewriters.

1982: Sepp von Rickenbach creates the company, with the aim of “studying, producing and marketing chemical machining processes, added to galvanics, chemical and electrochemical treatments”.
